Where can I eat/drink?

The event centre is surrounded by places to eat and drink. There are six of pubs in town (this is a lot for such a small place, due to the town's position on the old drovers route across the Welsh border) and many more in nearby villages, most serving food of some sort.

• The Royal Oak; 01544 230484.

• The Railway Tavern - Jake's Bistro; 07716 438288, ring to book, its small and popular with good reason.

There are also plenty of country restaurants close by, including the Michelin starred Stagg Inn. And if you are looking for something to eat back at the campsite, there are four takeaways in town.

We will include a list of places to eat and drink in your final instructions.

In the meantime have a look at the links section, and the trail grub bit at the bottom of the accommodation section at www.roughrides.co.uk.
